Julia Booker
Hi! I’m Julia, wife to Kevin, and mom to Daniel (2015) and Dillon (2017) [plus two babies in heaven, D (2016) and Davin (2020)]. I joined Fit4Mom when Daniel was almost 7 months old in April of 2016. I wanted to get back to the gym, but I didn’t want to put my baby in a gym childcare. I remember thinking, ‘I wish there was a workout group where I could get a tough workout in while having my baby with me in the stroller.’ Then, voila! I saw a FB ad for F4MECC. I was so nervous before my first class - not only was I a new mom, but at the time, Daniel was a foster baby, and I didn’t think I would fit in at all having never been successfully pregnant. Honestly, the thought of making mom friends didn’t really cross my mind. I may have come for the workout, but I stayed for the people. This village became my sanity in motherhood! I DID make mom friends, and they have helped me through some incredibly difficult times over the years. In 2022, I stepped down from teaching dance after almost 20 years, and was thrilled to transition into teaching other moms. Movement has always been a central part of my life, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to share my knowledge with other women. Currently, my days are filled with homeschooling our energetic boys! You can also catch me monthly at our F4M Storytimes, or at my Literacy Littles classes in Brentwood that I operate as a Literacy Advocate through my PaperPie book biz, Booker’s Book Nook. I also love traveling, reading, a nutty cup of coffee, and a good glass of wine!
